Elections General municipal elections for the election of officers and for such other purposes as the City Council may prescribe shall be held in the City on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November in each odd numbered year. All elections are held in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter and Elections Code of the State of California. The elective officers of the City shall consist of a City Council of seven (7) members, including the Mayor, all to be elected from the City at large. The Mayor and Councilmembers serve four-year terms of office, which are staggered. The City Clerk’s Office is responsible for administering the election process.
