2009 Two-Year Review of Single Family Design Guidelines/Neighborhood Preservation Ordinance Update
On May 1, 2007 the City Council adopted an updated version of the Neighborhood Preservation Ordinance and Single Family Residential Design Guidelines. At that time, Council also requested that a review of the updates and a report be made to City Council after two years.
The City held a public workshop on Saturday, October 24th, 2009 at the Santa Barbara Central Public Library.
At the 10/24/09 workshop and at two Single Family Design Board hearings, Staff presented the following draft report for public comment and discussion. The report will be presented to City Council in December, 2009 along with the Single Family Design Board's recommendations and the public comment record for this item.
