Reuse: Artists Services for Artists From Scrap to Art is an annual community assemblage art show and fundraiser for Art From Scrap, which is held at the AFS Gallery. Local artists are invited to participate in the show, which is based on a common starting object such as a book, cigar box, etc. Art From Scrap materials and other found items are incorporated into the piece by each artist, resulting in a wide variety of creative expression . Many materials such as window glass, plastic scraps, and tile are not recyclable, but can be reused to create art. Reuse art ranges from fun projects for kids to incredible artworks from professional artists. If you are an artist that incorporates used material or industrial scrap in your creations, we would love to see it. If you need raw used material, the City may be able to connect you to sources. 
Art From Scrap (AFS) is the name of a reuse retail store that sells industrial and commercial by-products, overruns, overstock, out of date inventory, and other items donated by local businesses. The result is a vast array of unusual items that are perfect materials for all types of artists, and particularly for assemblage artists.
