| Library Adds eBooks to Downloadable Services |
| | The Public Library System has added eBooks, readable on a computer or compatible eBook reader, to its downloadable collection at www.SBPLibrary.org. Beginning Aug 16, patrons with a library card, a computer, and Internet connection can browse the collection, check out, and download eBooks 24/7. The initial 600 eBooks, funded by a federal grant, include the popular Stieg Larsson Millennium novels as well as nonfiction titles. Training will be scheduled during the fall at all library branches.

| Alameda Padre Serra and Mountain Drive Road Construction - Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act |
| | July through August 2010, the Public Works Department will seal the street surface on Alameda Padre Serra (APS), from Sycamore Canyon Road west to Los Olivos Street, and on Mountain Drive from Los Olivos Street, east to Foothill Road (State Route 192). Construction includes Garcia Road and East De La Guerra Street below APS. Construction will occur Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Detours will be required.
