How do I Find Something?

The City of Santa Barbara is committed to the goal of helping you find the information you are seeking within three (3) clicks of the City Home Page. If you are not finding something, we want to help you.

1)     Did you try the Search?
If you did, try these tips for getting better search results.

a)     Searching for a phrase will return more results: pages with most or all of the words are top in the results.

b)     Use a + (plus sign) between words to return only pages with all the words you specify. For example if you use this search string, city + charter, results will be only the pages that have both the words.

c)     Select a specific Category to narrow your results.

d)     Use the Preview link, to the right of the results link, before clicking on a result.
