Help for Visitors using Mac/OS
On May 31, 2011, City Videos became available in the Silverlight streaming format. This means that web site visitors using Mac/OS can enjoy the same video experience that had been previously available only for those using Windows Media Player.
Silverlight allows the use of “Jump Points.” Jump Points are often included in archived videos and allow you to jump to designated times in the video stream. Not all videos include Jump Points.
System Requirements
Mac OS X 10.5 or later
Mac OS 10.4.8+ (PowerPC): Silverlight 1.0 only
800MHz PowerPC G4 processor, 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo processor, or higher

Non-Silverlight Mac/OS Installations
It is possible to view City Videos on Mac/OS without Silverlight, using Apple QuickTime player and the Flip4Mac QuickTime plug-in. Note that Jump Points do not work on non-Silverlight installations.
If you have Mac/OS 10.5.8 or newer, we have found a system configuration of Safari 5.0.5, Flip4Mac QuickTime plug-in version 2.3.8.1 and Apple QuickTime 7.6.9 will render City Videos. If this does not work, try selecting the Launch QuickTime Player option in the Browser tab, of the Flip4Mac system setting.
On older versions of Mac/OS X, Firefox often works where Safari does not. A known working configuration for Mac/OS X version 10.4, is Firefox version 3.6.2, QuickTime version 7.0 and the Flip4Mac QuickTime plug-in version 2.3.2.6.
