BEACH LIFEGUARD

$11.00 - $13.00/HR –EMT’S RECEIVE .50 CENTS INCREASE

Work 30-40 hours per week, including weekends, guarding and providing first aid at Santa Barbara City beaches.  Ocean experience in swimming, paddling, surfing, and guarding desirable. Valid Diver’s License, current certification in Standard First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer or EMT.  Candidates must pass a physical tryout, medical history exam and drug screening.  Lifeguard Training, WSI, and varied aquatics experience is desirable. JUNIOR HIGH AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM COORDINATOR

The City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department is currently hiring for Junior High After School Program Coordinator. Working closely with the Youth Activities Supervisor this position will coordinate and supervise Junior High after school youth partnership programs, with local non-profits. This position will interface with school and City administrators to schedule after school activities, league games, recruit coaches and referees and help promote the Junior High After school programs at four junior high schools. Applicants should have a general knowledge of youth interests and sports and be available every day after school to over see the day to day operations to safely and effectively supervise independent contractors and program staff.  Hours may vary between 20-30 hours per week. Pay range is $13-$17 per hour depending on experience. LIBRARY BUILDING MONITOR

RECREATION LEADER

TEEN PROGRAM MONITOR

10 - 20 hours per week - early evenings and weekend shifts.
