LOT OPERATOR I | $8.00/HR | Collect parking tickets & fees, make change, & answer questions. Apply at Parking Office, 1221 Anacapa St. 564-5656. | RECREATION PROGRAM LEADER (A-OK & RAP) | $11.00 - $13.00/HR DOE | Applications are currently being accepted for After school Opportunities for Kids (A-OK) and Recreation After School Program (RAP). Applicants must be energetic, enthusiastic and enjoy working with elementary school age children. Prior experience working with children is highly recommended. Applicants must be available Monday - Fridays 2:00 - 6:00 PM the full 180 days of the 2010 and 2011 school year. Program start date is August 23rd. Accepted applicants must be available for training Wednesday August 18th - Friday August 20th 2010. WATER DISTRIBUTION UTILITY WORKER | $14.97/HR | The current opening is an entry-level position in the Water Distribution section. Candidates may have limited or no directly-related work experience. Example of duties: Under general supervision, perform a variety of duties and tasks related to the operation, installation, construction and maintenance of complex water distribution and recycled water systems. Duties include assisting with water system flushing, fire hydrant maintenance, water meter replacements, emergency response for water and recycled water facilities. Must be able to tactfully interface with the public, follow directions with safe work practices and in regard to protecting the City’s drinking water quality, and be available for stand-by duties that include being on-call after hours and responding to emergency problems at any hour.
