| The Santa Barbara Police Activities League (PAL) was established in 1999 and is a citywide program that provides outreach to local youth. This program is designed to build relationships between youth, the Police Department, and the Community. Mission Statement The Santa Barbara PAL program offers quality activities for the youth of the community, with direction and focus to help them become better citizens. | PAL Activities include the following: Educational Programs PAL offers Computer classes four days a week taught by UCSB interns and tutoring five days a week through a homework assistance program called Power Hour.
