Sergeant Brent Mandrell

Sergeant Mandrell is responsible for supervising the Beat Coordinators, DARE officer and Police Activities League officer He also conducts background investigations of new police recruits.

Sergeant Mandrell has been employed by the Santa Barbara Police Department since 1988. His prior experience includes Field Training Officer, Narcotics Detective, Intelligence Officer, Beat Coordinator, Narcotics Unit Supervisor and Tactical Patrol Force Supervisor.

He holds a Bachelors of Education degree from the University of Toledo and is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute. He also has lived in several Central and South American Countries and speaks fluent Spanish.

Officer Scott klacking has been employed by the Santa Barbara Police Department since 1998. His prior experience includes Patrol officer, DUI Enforcement officer and Tactical Patrol Force officer.

He is currently assigned to the Community Services Division as a Beat Coordinator and Background Investigator.

Officer Chamberlain has been employed by the Santa Barbara Police Department since 1985. Her prior experience includes Patrol Officer and Beat Coordinator.

Officer Chamberlain currently teaches D.A.R.E at thirteen different schools and assists with Beat Coordinator responsibilities.
