Projects

Upper State Street Pavement Marking Changes
Transportation Operations is working in cooperation with Construction Engineering to implement striping and crosswalk changes as a part of the 2009 Pavement Maintenance Project at the intersections of State at Calle Palo Colorado, State at De La Vina and de la Vina at Samarkand.

The changes consist of a new crosswalk and pedestrian refuge island on State Street at Calle Pallo Colorado, painted pedestrian refuges on De La Vina Street, and revised bike lane and vehicle lane striping at State and de La Vina.

The striping and island configurations will be studied to ascertain the effect on vehicle speeds and yield compliance in the area.   The cost of these additional elements is $8,000.
