 Water Commission

| Each month a dedicated group of volunteer professionals convenes to take an in-depth look at water and wastewater issues. These five Santa Barbara citizens, appointed by City Council, make up the City's Board of Water Commissioners. The Board advises City Council and makes recommendations regarding many different water and wastewater policies and projects. City residents are fortunate to have a Water Commission with wide ranging backgrounds and experiences. The current Commissioners include: | Chairman Steve Little - Avocado Rancher and Retired Mechanical Engineer
Vice-Chair Kate Rees - Project Coordinator with a background in hydrology and geology
Jim Smith - Energy Consultant, Retired Electrical Engineer
Chris Colbert - Commercial Property Manager; Economist
Arlie Skov - Retired Petroleum Engineer | The public is welcome to attend meetings of the Water Commission, which are held the second Monday of each month at 3:00 pm in the Public Works Conference Room located at 630 Garden Street.
