With growing concern about the environment and the abundance of landfills, there is increasing emphasis on waste reduction programs. The process of reuse is unique in that the same physical product is actually reused multiple times; this differs from recycling, which transforms the original product into something new. |

| The People's Parks | A 60-minute documentary that traces the development of Santa Barbara’s park and street tree programs. Commemorates the 100-year anniversary of city parks. The City’s efforts to create parks, plant street trees and beautify the city are shown through a rich array of historical photographs, old film footage, and personal interviews and oral histories with parks and recreation staff, local historians, horticulturalists, plein air painters, and local residents. |
