Bullet2009 State of the City Address
Mayor Marty Blum addressed the business community in the annual State of the City Address on March 23rd at Fess Parker's Double Tree Resort. The event was hosted by the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce. Mayor Blum will talked about a range of significant City issues including economic development, community infrastructure, public safety, and community planning.

BulletCity Council Agendas
The City Clerk's Office publishes the Council Agenda Packet consisting of the Agenda, staff reports, and associated attachments as a service to the community. The Council Agenda Packet for the regular City Council meetings is posted on Thursdays prior to the meetings by 3:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). If you are familiar with this process, please click on the link at the bottom of this page.

At this time, the City Council also traditionally appoints the Liaisons to the various Advisory Groups.

The Finance Committee's function is to review matters pertaining to the finances of the City and to make recommendations to the City Council. These matters include, but are not limited to, reviewing interim financial statements, monthly investment reports, the City's annual independent audit, City fees and service charges and budgets.

The purpose of the City’s Legislation Program is to intentionally promote the adoption of state and federal legislation that will establish sound public policy for responsible governance; protect and enhance public health, safety and welfare; and, aid the City’s delivery of high quality services to its residents.
