Vacancies on these groups occur either through scheduled vacancies (those created by the expiration of a term) or through unscheduled vacancies as a result of resignations during the year.
The Semi-Annual Recruitment is in progress. When applying to more than one advisory group, a separate application is required for each group. Applications must be received in the City Clerk's Office by 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012. Applications may be submitted via e-mail to: CityAdvisoryGroupApplications@SantaBarbaraCa.gov, via fax to the City Clerk’s Office at (805) 897-2623, via mail to the City Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 1990, Santa Barbara, CA 93102, or hand delivered to the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall at 735 Anacapa Street.
All applicants are required to appear before the City Council for an interview in order to be considered for appointment to a City Advisory Group. Interviews will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, during the evening session of the City Council meeting which begins at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, and Tuesday, June 12, 2012, during the afternoon sessions of the City Council meetings at an estimated time of 4:00 p.m.
The City Council will make appointments to fill the vacancies on June 26, 2012.
