Clean Water State Revolving Fund Funding Amount $3,441,585
The California Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) will receive approximately $280 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The CWSRF modified their existing loan program to distribute a portion of ARRA monies as grants to fund non-point source pollution (runoff pollution caused by rainfall moving over and through the ground) control projects throughout the state.
Although competition was extremely high for these stimulus funds, the Creeks Division was awarded funding for two of the three projects submitted that conformed to the agency’s grant requirements. Staff submitted these projects because they created jobs, built green infrastructure, and would be ready for construction when the CWSRF began awarding stimulus funding.
The City of Santa Barbara has been granted $3,441,585 for the two projects.
