Utility Rate Increases Adopted
for Fiscal Year 2012The City Council has adopted new utility rates for Fiscal Year 2012. The increases are needed to offset the increasing costs of maintaining, operating, and rehabilitating the water and wastewater systems, and to meet contractual obligations to compensate trash haulers for the cost of doing business. Water rates have been increased by 3.5%, sewer rates by 4%, and trash/recycling rates by 3.56%. The new rates are effective on utility bills dated July 1, 2011 and later. The new rates are available at the links show below. Questions regarding water and wastewater rates can be directed to 564-5460.
