Bus Pass Program

TO HELP ALLEVIATE THE PARKING CONGESTION DOWNTOWN, DISCOUNTED MTD BUS PASSES ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL DOWNTOWN EMPLOYEES COURTESY OF THE DOWNTOWN PARKING PROGRAM

  • 90-day pass
  • Cost to Downtown Employee $45.00
  • Pass to be used primarily to go to and from work
  • Limited to Downtown Employees (may exclude some major employers)
  • Employees must work between
    • De La Vina – Garden Streets
    • Mason Street – Sola Streets

This pass will not be replaced if it is lost or damaged in the 90-day period.  Employees new to the MyRide Bus Pass Program are required to present proof of employment to the Downtown Parking Office.  Applicants may be required to show continued proof of employment when purchasing a new pass.

This pass allows employees to pay for one month of service while the City provides two additional months at no cost to the employee.  This pass, unlike the previous MyRide Bus Pass, is to be used primarily for commute to and from work with occasional trips at other times.  This pass is no longer unlimited and unauthorized usage may result in termination of eligibility for the program.  Any questions or concerns please contact Jay Hillje at (805) 564-5656 for more information.

Downtown Parking funds will also help support additional service on lines that serve the downtown area during peak hours.  This additional service will make it even more convenient to take the bus to and from work.
